Writer's Block: LiveJournal Book Club

This is a very hard one, because I read so much in my free time (and since I right now have a lot of this) I have soooooooooooooooo many to pick from.

So because I'm hard core I'm going to put two book that I would recommend.

Book: Lamb

Reason: This book made me almost laugh, think about other people's religion's AND made me laugh so hard that sometimes people thought I was losing my mind.

The book is mostly about this guy named Biff, who when he was small made friends with this other boy named josh. Josh is just like any other boy, well other then the fact he can all these cool things ( like bring dead lizards back to life after his younger brother kills them) but he's also the son of God.

Growing up isn't easy for The Son of god and his best friend. Dealing with Heart break, family issues and sinning Biff helps Josh see the world and keep him pure.

This book fits so great with the idea's of Jesus being for the fact that in the bible, that you only hear anything about Josh is when he's 12-13 and then way later in his 30's.... this book kinda fills in the blanks in a great funny way.

This book is great for anyone from any religion (or no religion for that fact). One book you'll be happy you read.

Reason I picked this book: Everyone I've given it to loved it, I kinda started a cult fallowing with it :D

Book 2 : Blood and Chocolate

Reason: I've been madly in love with this book since grade 6 when I moved. It was the one book I could read over and over AND OVER, and not get bored of it. I think each time I read it I learn something else, or something Changed for me.

When I was younger the first time I read it, It was a cute Romance story for me, about a girl who fell in love with someone that was an outsider for her family. a couple years later the story changed for me I now saw a strong girl who as much as her family drove her nuts, she was willing to do anything to save them all. Now at my age I see a strong women, who goes faces whatever life throws at her, if it be death, love friendship and loss.

Did I mention it has werewolves? I think that is a BIG selling point since books about good werewolves are so damn hard to find (where it's in the point of the wolves rather then the "poor" humans out to kill them.)

Reason I Picked This Book: I think I summed it up with "I could read it over and over and over and not get bored". this is one book that I own that is so used and worn from love that the pages are yellow and bent. You can see the love I have for this book lol.

But on a side note...The movie..SUCKED. You can watch the movie and say "hey not bad" but it is NOT blood and chocolate. they took all the vaules from the book and burned them in a fire and then hid the body parts. it's that bad.

Anyways off to read The Time Traveler's Wife and have my lunch...opr first meal of the day
