[With Jerry's badge firmly in hand and the cheers from the group of children (who apparently do not appreciate the kind efforts of policemen to indulge them on Halloween), Heather is leaping down the sidewalk in long bounds, flapping her 'wings' with each leap.]
[She hardly even spares a glance to see if her partner in crime is behind her, although there's not much to fear.]
[Because the poor beleaguered policeman stumbling along after them is hardly the fastest around.]
[There is no need to worry about her comrade in arms. He is darting around obstacles right behind her, ducking and weaving around trees and bushes and fence posts as he holds his own prize (the handcuffs and the shiny foil-covered chocolates) above his head.
Officer Jerry's cries go completely unheard (or ignored) as poor possessed Kaito snickers delightfully to himself in victory]
[Heather lets out a triumphant caw as she hops up onto a rock wall and runs up there, quickly gaining height on their pursuer as the wall grows taller.]
[Jerry is really giving it his all... but he falters and staggers to a halt after a few blocks, panting.]
[Kaito is quick to follow her, scampering upwards in an attempt to leave poor Officer Jerry behind. As soon as the police officer stops to catch his breath, however, he halts in his tracks and spins around.
And then he sticks his tongue out at him mockingly]
[In response, Jerry sort of... swells like a threatened pufferfish. Except not nearly as intimidating. There had been a time, once, when he was a respected police officer. .... Well. More respected, anyway.]
[But now look at him.]
I mean it! You teenagers think you can do whatever you want!
WELL... your behavior has serious repercussions for people just trying to enjoy the holiday!

[Meanwhile, Jerry just looks up at them pitifully. 8( WHY HIM? WHY HIM?]
[Mustering up a stern tone, he straightens up, puffing and putting one hand on his hip, and shaking a finger at them with the other. >8(]
You delinquents had better be prepared to face the consequences of your actions! Don't spoil this holiday for the little kids!
