Ohhhhh my gosh, yay. I love this so much!! There is lots of really delightful Oscar/Andy fanfiction out there, and it all kind of seems to follow the same pattern (not a bad thing! It's a pattern I hold very dear to my heart), but there is something that's slightly different and fresh about the way you're approaching the two of them, and I just love it. I love the notion of Oscar really, really needing to be won over; your writing of him is so uncompromisingly Oscartastic, I love that. And, God, so many little details in here that are just SO SPLENDID. Andy holding his briefcase in front of his chest as if to ward off Oscar just cracked me up, such a magnificent little detail. And Oscar's mouth snaps shut and he looks suddenly terrified. , and the two of them accidentally falling into oh-I-so-like-you mode while discussing Psych 101, and THE VERY BOLD KISS THAT MAKES OSCAR REALIZE IT'S A DATE, and -- ahahahahahaha! -- Andy friending Gil on Facebook and asking for advice. That move alone makes me want to laugh for ALL ETERNITY. And then the end, which is just like adjflafj;dak yayyy!, and I love that there is going to be more of this, and I LOVE that it is going to involve bearing witness to Jim helping Andy come up with that speech. I thought it could get no better, but then, how about that!!

I love that this is a series! :D It is a definite bright spot in my existence, thank you for bestowing upon the world your awesome skills of writing and Oscar/Andytastictude.

*flails* Your comment has, quite possibly, made my night. 8D One of the biggest things I strive for in fic (or in anything else really) is to be slightly unique. I feel like with a lot of my stuff in other fandoms I fall into the same patterns as everyone else (like you said, not necessarily a BAD thing, but still) and somehow my fiction becomes PREDICTABLE to me. So I am so incredibly happy that you think this has a fresh feel to it.

I swear, I take barely any credit for Oscar, because he totally seems to just write himself. Usually any time I want to make him softer or more floopy than he actually is, I can practically HEAR him sighing in exasperation in the back of my head, and immediately end up changing it. Plus, my little sister and her girlfriend are LOVELY betas who catch me when I do let the occasional girly-Oscar moment slip through. They're really wonderful for making me accountable as far as characterization goes.

And all those little touches you mentioned- hahaha- is it wrong to me to squee at my own fic, or at the fact that you noticed some of the bits that were my favorite? I SWEAR, I FEEL LIKE THESE FICS TAKE A LIFE OF THEIR OWN, AND I CAN SEE THE CHARACTERS DOING IT, SO I REALLY FEEL LIKE I'M FLAILING OVER THE CHARACTERS AND NOT SOMETHING I WROTE MYSELF. *ahem* /caps-lock.

I wish I didn't have the LSAT on Saturday, because otherwise I would be writing the next bit like right now. You have no idea how much I want to see the Andy-Jim moment happen. Heeeee!

Thank you so much for the lovely, lovely comment.
