BAKACHI's OREO CHEESE CAKE
Oreo Biscuit Base
Ingredients :
200 g Oreo Sandwich biscuits, finely crushed
50 g unsalted butter (melted)
Method :
Mix the ingredients until well blended. Press onto bottom of 20-23 cm springform tin. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
The cheese filling part
Ingredients :
(A)
250 g Cream cheese
110 g Icing Sugar
(B)
140 g Yogurt (natural flavour)
(C)
1 1/2 tbsps Gelatine
60 g Water
(D)
150 g Whipping topping, whipped
Leftover crushed oreo cookies (Buy 2 packets of Oreo and since you only use 200 g for the base, there will be some leftover)
Method :
1. Mix (C) over double-boiler. Stir until the gelatine dissolves. Cool it in a bath of cool water.
2. Cream (A) until light and smooth. Add (B) and cream until well blended.
3. Add (C) and mix until well combines. Put in (D) and mix until well blended.
4. Pour cheese filling over the oreo base in the springform tin.
5. Wrap the top of the springform tin with an aluminum foil and refrigerate for 6 hours or until set.
Tips :
To get it out of the springform tin easily, blow the outside of the tin with a hair dryer or blowtorch. But not too much or it will melt.
