Tis now official. I am now a free man.

I`m free of NCO telecommunications.

I`m free of the MSN tech support callers.

I`m free of the SPRINT idiot customers.

I`m free of the Geeksquad Covert Ops clients and the Bestbuy PSP hardware warranty callers.

I`m free of stupid idiotic calls where people try to get free service and not pay for a paid service. I`m free of people trying to claim they should get support because they bought the computer at bestbuy, they should get support at a extended hardware warranty support line even without an extended warranaty.

As for why I and my department are now freemen, Bestbuy has determined that the geeksquad service is no longer profitable, and as such is shutting down all covertops contracts. They did this as of Feb 10th 2009 with a lot of notice to the various call centers.

The funny thing is that this puts all warranty support and any call backs on the shoulders of the former sales department. This includes the callbacks and 30 day warranty on one of our tech calls.

Ah well... it's no longer any of my concern.

Auf wiedersehen, you silly dorky guys in the department... I think I'll miss you lot the most.
