Sunday: 2,348 words
BEGINNING LINE: The sickly-sweet taste of the darkness overwhelmed her, pouring into her throat to make her gag.
FAVORITE LINE: When she was a child, her family had owned a sweet-natured but not-too-bright dog named Fluppy. Her name was Shadow; I'm not sure why I started calling her "Fluppy Puppy."
ENDING LINE: “Oh?”

Yesterday: 5,264 words
BEGINNING LINE: Even with the pressure on her, Gwyn had managed to drop into a light doze; she'd slept in less comfortable places.
FAVORITE LINE: She turned to Macy. "Do you have any medical experience?"
"I'm trained in battlefield first aid."
"That would be great if we were in a battle, which we aren't, so no offense, but get off my station, you're using up O2 that could better be used by researchers."
ENDING LINE: "I'm used to surviving day-to-day," Gwyn said. "Loving the same way doesn't sound too hard." Then she smiled. "And it's a lot more pleasant."

Today: 1,165 words (not including "the" and "end")
BEGINNING LINE: Gwyn felt her knees go weak, but she forced herself to stay on her feet, though she doubted that the Marine would have any trouble physically lifting her and carrying her to bed.
FAVORITE LINE: She'd learned a long time ago (from one of her fellow Marines, no less) that personal combat training could prove entertainingly useful in bed.
ENDING LINE: "I'll make it worth waiting for. I promise."
