Circles
I’m getting tired, of this game
These circles that are all the same
Why must it be this way?
Doesn’t anybody care?
Living day to day, without a difference
Seeing the same scarred faces, over and over
I’m drowning in my own pool
While life slips away
I want out, I want to sleep
To close my eyes and see nothing
I wish that it would stop, everything that is
No chains to bound me in the darkness
But it’s all a wish, a simple dream - a fools hope
Nothing like that is to happen
And I shall go on, forever
Never to rest, never to live
It will always be me, alone
And as the players move on the board
I shall lag behind, never finishing
Just going in circles
I want to be free.
