Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (movie)

Extra, Extra read all about it! Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has come to a theater near you! Baka_Kappa has gone and seen and now entails her thoughts to you

Extra, Extra don't wanna miss it! In this special edition just for you :P

Hm... So where to start, how about I FUCKING LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!! *squeals for half the night* OMF! Okay I need to get this out of my system so yes, will out aside praising for now and try to give an actually review *more squeals*

Ahem,

So to start, is was a little disappointed by the scenes they chose, granted they were all portrayed fabulously well, but they also cut out A LOT (though I can see why seeing the book would take forever to put into a single movie... not that I would have complained if they did...) anyways, so yeah that was good.

Though the kickass thing about this movie was it had to be one of the most slashiest non-slash films ever *fan-girl squeal* Cedric Diggory was sooooo hitting on Harry without "upsetting" the audience!!!! So yeah...

There was a lot of loose ends though in the end, though I suppose you pick it out more if you've read the book seeing you know more was supposed to happen and if you haven't I’m guessing the scene would either look unfinished, pointless or they didn't think about it at all. (I wouldn't know seeing I read the books as soon as they came out)

They also cut out a lot of characters... for example there is nothing to do with Winky, Dobby or Hermione's S.P.E.W, as well as they cut out characters with lines. Two finely picked/noticed examples would be Sirius Black, during the Goblet of fire he and Harry are supposed to build up their relationship so his death in the fifth book actually has impact on Harry. But the only times Sirius was in this (and not in person mind you) was when Harry wrote a letter to him and when his head appeared in the fireplace in Gryffindor common room so he and Harry could have the chat of there’s... so he really wasn't in the film at all *pouts* (though I love Book!Sirius much more better - sorry Gary, but you are simply too old for this fan girls :P)

The other example would be with the champions, they're really only shown by face to make them appear that they have a larger role in the movie, but really if you pay attention, besides Cedric - Krum and Fleur speak like two likes (I think Cedric has 5 more...? _?) This is when the phase "Just another pretty face in the crowd" comes into play *sobs* no fair...

Ah well... They still pulled off the movie wonderfully like they did the other three, that I wasn't retching in my seat (how could I? I'm a die hard Harry Potter since Gr. 5 people I love it all! *beams*)

So yes... what else can I blabber on about? Snape! OMF I have never really liked his character but though he doesn't have a lot of lines (none of the characters besides Harry, Ron, Hermione and Dumbledore do... they just show there faces a lot...) The scenes when there all in study hall - his character (I don't know the actors name by heart Allan Rickman or something - gomen) totally kicks ass. Beating all the Gryffindors with books - especially Ron and Harry. He doesn't even say anything; just his actions have the whole audience in the palm of his hand. The whole audience in the theater was roaring with laughter during his scene, I loved it. It's one of my favourite parts.

Another favourite part was the first task, simply cause I love all the scenes in all the movies that even mention Quiddutch (sp) I don't know why... there just so fabby-lola ;) and there Harry had his new fire bolt and yada, don't wanna give away too many spoilers.

One thing that bothered me though was scenes that didn't happen the way they did in the book or they did but there were horribly changed or even in the wrong area that its supposed to happen or timeline all together *frowns* but I suppose that's why its the movie, it's supposed to be different from the books and this people will get it without having to read them... but still.

Ooooh and Voldemort's character scared me!!!!!!!!!! What the hell happened to his nose, I know he's supposed to be a snake like human or whatever but I don't have to like it!!!!!! *hides* well that part really only creped me out the only part that did scare me however was at the Quiddutch world cup and the Death Eaters attack and there matching in rows in there snazzy get up and masks... hoe, SCARY!!!! So sue me I'm a wuss but still I wouldn't not want to face a death eater. Not because I'm a muggle but because they look to freaky creepy!!!!!!!!!!

Right, I think I rambled on what I liked and dislikes more than giving a review -_- I still have to work on writing a proper one... just give me time. I hope

All together it was definitely worth the wait, as well as the money and chancing my health to heat the fatty-foods (which I kick myself for -_-) But don't take my word for it, see it yourself.

Sincerely,

Baka_Kappa
