Meet Ronald McDonald's Consort
Two days before Christmas Eve I was surfing cyberspace when the thought “Does Ronald McDonald have a girlfriend or wife?” popped in my head. So I launched Google and typed “Miss McDonald” just for the heck of it. Lo and behold! The search result listed at number one a LiveJournal account titled “A Day In The Life of Miss McDonald” about a lady who dresses up as Ronald McDonald’s consort and goes around doing everyday stuff like washing clothes, cleaning the yard, shooting some hoops, going to the john, and even getting sick; unlike Ronald who just sits on a bench or stands in a corner waving day in and day out … hehehe.
Mind you, she is not being paid by McDonald’s to do it. She does it just for the love of it. Jollibee must be frothing in the mouth with envy; McDonald’s gets to ride on Miss McDonald’s coattails for FREE. Hmmm … I wonder now if Jollibee too has a consort.
And what’s really surprising is that Miss McDonald is from the Philippines. No first name was given; could it be that her name is Maria Genevova? But wait, that sounds Russian, like Maria Sharapova. Anyway, what’s important is that she is Pinay my dear friends.

I wonder what Miss McDonald is up to lately. Is she an outdoor person? Would she be willing to go mountain climbing? Imagine, Miss McDonald donning a backpack, hiking and sweating it out, then setting up camp, etc., now that would be a blast!
Viewing Miss McDonald reminded me of something I wanted to do - wear the Jollibee costume, show up in a kiddie party, play and dance with the kids. Unfortunately, no Jollibee costume will fit my 5’10” frame, sigh. The only costume I’ve dressed myself in is that of Green Lantern during the Packers’ & Sweepers’ Christmas Party in 2004.
