Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Job Update:
Well I obviously survived my first week of work. There was a lot of training and lots of information.
I've been poking around to see what kind of great corp deals i can get. they have a great wellness program. Onsite medical doctor and massage therapist, nutritioness, gym... etc etc
I can really work on that fitness I've been talking about... next year lol
Another cool thing I saw is that they change the color Apple placards outside the buildings every week. i enjoy guessing what the color will be next.
All in all, I'm having new employee complex. I want to make my mark but not come off bitchy. There is so much information that i just want to start understanding it all. Give it time Cassandra. I'll get it. But I just want to make a good impression. So until then, I'll do all the brown bags, meet all the people I can. It'll be great! And then I'll start getting into all the "fringe" benefits of working here.
Until then, I have to start using that discount. Last year, my dad asked me to get him the ipod video 80gb for christmas and i said.. maybe next year when I have more money and maybe a better job. Not only do I have that, but i actually work for the company... So I have to buy that for his present. I figured out little things i want for everyone. But of course...I should've bought earlier. Maybe they'll realize that because I have a new job, I can't really afford it. What I want to do is go home for the holidays and spoil my nephew. I really want to take professional photos of him and my sister. And buy him some new stuff. yay nephews are great.
LA- AMAs
So much to talk about. My week off was so great. I started by leaving on a leisurely Saturday. Claudia's friend asked us to be seat fillers for the American Music Awards and I was alllll in. When I got in, Claudia and I went to find dresses at Macy's i got this cute black cocktail with pleats. Later we dressed up and went out to the club. We intended to go the bar next door but the doorman stopped us in the street and let us in for free. What was funny was how we decided we were indeed getting old. i wore a minimizer (aka girdle) and push up and she had her weave. We laughed about the dudes we met and "all our fakeness inside" It was fun though.
The next morning we got up and ready for the AMAs. Weird to be all dressed up at 10am but we did. Then the day started. Lots of lining up in lines and being barked at. It was nice though. The magic was gone though. Only the first 15 rows was filled with celebrities and the like. We, seat fillers, had the job of sitting in the seats of the celebrities or any seat that we saw empty. it was sad to see a family that paid for tickets and me going all the way to the second row and paying nothiing. It's not worth paying for really. I saw Justin Chambers from Greys..with his mullato kids. He was so hot...really he was. Chris Brown, Bone, Neeyo, Avril...all were around me. Later I saw Rihanna, Fergie, Will I Am, Paul Mooney, etc etc. The thing about these people were. They literally won't look at you. How could you be so efficient at looking through or past people. Ask a celebrity...
Later we had great Thai food and decline to go out because we were so tired from the day. The next day, I got up late and finally left for San Diego
SD - a whole lotta nothing
Man, I'm so good at wasting time. I literally moved from my bed to the couch, read my book, played my DS and Wii and enjoyed my wonderful host of a family. The kitchen was stocked. My aunt's sister came with her son and dog, and so the dogs were fun to play with. Its so great chilling with family. I love it. Thanksgiving was awesome. It took my aunts two days to prepare food and we ate for 10 minutes and half a plate. We were so full! We had so much food left and they made great leftovers. I was sad to leave :(
back at home
i spent Sunday, finishing my book, cleaning and catching up on my shows. ahhh Relaxation.
now my only complaint is having to get re-aquainted with waking up early enough (7) to slowly prepare for my 10 minute drive :)
life..is pretty good right now.
