*Florean Fortescue's isn't the obvious place for a first date, at least for anybody who's graduated Hogwarts. This Saturday afternoon it seems more of a families-and-friends place-not that there are many of either. The war has hit business hard, like anywhere else, and February is hardly a busy month for an ice-cream shop to begin with.
But Gideon has good instincts about this sort of thing. He barely knows this girl, although he's struck by her and she comes with excellent references (namely, the Order). Furthermore, she seems like a bit of a shy one, so it wouldn't do to pull out all the stops for some extravagant place that would make them both uncomfortable when they're supposed to be getting to know one another a bit. So Florean's it is. He dresses smart but casual, ignoring Fabian's horrible advice, and Apparates outside the shop at exactly three, his hands in his pockets, smiling and admiring the sunny Saturday despite the bitter wind. Hopefully this Hestia is a punctual type: it'll be quite a bit warmer inside.*
