Tweet tweet

I've actually had Twitter for some time already but I never really use it until quite recently. As I slowly follow people, I am curious how some people can follow over a hundred tweets.

I am following just over 40 people, and the amount of tweets I get can be a staggering 100 over in less than half a day! I don't understand how you can read through so much tweets! So what is your pre-requisite to follow someone?

For me I follow mostly where my interests lie first, which is gaming, history, anthropology, archaeology and dogs(animals). Then I follow certain friends, and then finally prominent figures in their respective fields like for example Felicia Day(gaming), Bethany Hughes(historian), Neo Swee Lin, Kumar etc. I make it a point in particular not to follow much of Singapore's media people as I don't see a point in it.

As I said, you must have interesting or relevant enough interest for me to want to follow, which is essentially my criteria and I aim to keep my reads small and meaningful without having to scroll through hundreds of tweets.

So what determines you to follow someone?
