Fun times, long week...

Vegas was fun, even if we mostly slept LOL.

I got my tattoo Sunday night. Oooh boy, it hurt. I invited Owen to watch, but I think he thought he was distracting me from the "zen" stuff. Plus Owen called the artist a "stoner", so I quickly ushered him out and off to the hotel room. The guy was a bit of a flake, but, I guess I'm a little more accepting about that kind of thing from artistic types than Owen is.

Monday, we sat in on the timeshare presentation and signed the paperwork. Then found out that Wynn purchased RCI, which was the owner of the Vacations International place that we purchased the timeshare from, so basically, we can go just about anywhere. You know what this means? KELLY CAN GO. Go where? ANYWHERE. I can go by myself if I wanna! Or we can do a girls' weekend lol. Ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner - good scallops.

Tuesday morning sucked, and we worked most of the morning, but whatever, I kind of expected that. Tuesday afternoon we ended up walking up and down the Strip, had lunch at Ra Sushi & Grill (awesome pineapple Rangoon thingies!) and I thought I was going to pass out from the heat. Got back to the room and slept for three hours.

Wednesday, I was more proactive. Got up, got dressed, and made the decisions for the day. We took Vegas transit bus up to Mandalay Bay, to scope out the Shark Reef (which was far less spectacular than I expected but nonetheless, cool), then walked through and about the connecting casinos (The Luxor and Excalibur, if I remember correctly). We had lunch at Ri Ra Irish Pub - which was FANTASTIC. Mmmmmmm. I had a smoked salmon sandwich, with potato cakes, and he had Shepherd's Pie. Wandered some more and went back to the hotel to pack up.

Thursday, flew back, hopped a bus to Rockford, and did some work. Home and slept.

Friday was typical, except I ran over to pick up our race packets for Saturday. I was SO NERVOUS.

Saturday: *flail* What a morning! Shelly and I got there almost 90 minutes early and the fairgrounds were already packed. There was such an awesome energy!! It's indescribable. We completed it in an hour, which made both of us happy for our very first 5k. And we weren't last! LOL!! After that, the rest of the day was really just.. anti-climatic hahaha.

Sunday we got Christina off on her first trip without her family. I think it's weird that at 15, she's NEVER spent more than 24 hours away from the family. Apparently, *I* am weird for thinking it's weird, (per the kids' mom, whatever) but Owen and I had the discussion that her mother would much rather have the kids firmly attached to her ass than normal and independent. *rolls eyes* This will be good for Christina. Now if I could just get her to stop paying for everyone else's stuff. *sigh* Charity is a good thing, but I'm trying to explain to her that she's 15 and she is NOT responsible for providing water, snacks, and dinner money for her friends. If her friends have been able to raise the money to go on this trip, they very well have $20 to provide snacks on the trip down (everything else is provided on the trip).

We also went to see Hangover III last night. HAHAHAHA. We got to the credit and noted that there weren't any naked scenes.. and BOOM. Bitches got pwned. LMAO.

Anyways, that's my week. Well, that and this damned sinus infection I can't shake. I think it's going to take a trip to the doc again. Dammit. I might as well schedule my annual exam that I haven't done in two years, and go back on birth control.
