Up: BoyCat was definitely feeling better for the past few days: playful, affectionate, talkative. He was very snuggly this morning before I got out of bed, kneading my pillow and purring up a storm.
Down: He vomited his meds and the little bit of food he ate this morning after I got up. I suspect that the vomiting is an indication of fluid build-up in his lungs due to reducing the Lasix dosage on Saturday as prescribed. He was vomiting on and off for a couple of months before he was diagnosed, and it followed the same pattern: He'd eat his food eagerly and then vomit immediately, literally in front of the food bowl. He did the same thing when the Lasix dosage was lowered after I brought him home from the emergency vet the first time, too.
Up: While he clearly didn't feel well for most of the day, he's more talkative and active now. He just took his meds and has kept them down, although to be safe I'm withholding food for a while. His appetite's still not strong, anyway.
He goes back again to the cardiologist next week to check his kidney values and possibly some x-rays, although if his appetite and behavior aren't better tomorrow, I'll probably give her a call and see if she wants me to bring him in earlier.
