Mornin'.

Well, glad Bobby had the sense to speak up. Like how you portrayed Monroe as the coward he is, trying to hide and avoid Ennis. And how Ennis handled both Monroe and Alma; pulled her down a peg or two, having her husband do it to both of her children. Sort of understand why they didn't turn him in to the sheriff; too much too late...but still, what if he turns to someone else's child? Don't think he will ever be cured.

And I've been to days-long celebrations. Usually dinner the night before, sometimes breakfast the day of, and then the ceremony and reception, and sometimes breakfast the day after...even golf, tennis, etc. a day or to before.

Continue to enjoy the relationship between Jack and Ennis. They can't get enough of each other. Driving back in the dark was great...the fence and mailbox! And the patter between them. And then after Bobby talked to Ennis, the closeness they feel, confiding in each other, comforting each other, telling each other that "ever'thin's gonna be al'right," asking and giving and taking advice on how to handle a bad situation. They really are "seeing" each other now, more than ever before.

And at breakfast, the best, says it all: "Under cover of the long white tablecloth, Ennis’s hand found Jack’s and they briefly clasped fingers in promise of pleasures to come and in a pledge as solemn as the vows Junior and Kurt would be making later that day."

Thanks again.
