I got my two mini-greenhouses cleaned out, I planted the broccoli, cabbages, Brussels Sprouts, Zucchinis, Cukes, celery, cauliflower, etc. set out today, all of my tender stuff-I'm in zone 5, were set outside to soak up the sunshine and harden off. The tomatoes, and peppers will go back in the garage tonight and every night until next week. An interesting thing, I had a volunteer tomato pop up in my herbs [they are all in pots sitting outside under my office window] and I've used it as my outdoor canary-in-a-mine. So far it's just looking better and better, so maybe my tender stuff can go out now.
I know they look a little anemic but some real sunshine will green them up
My goal is to take up as much of my 850 square feet of flower gardens and replace the flowers with vegetables however, not all of the gardens have full sun so this one will just stay as it is.
But I did take over the spot where we removed a tree last year, it's tucked into the space next to our garbage bin and the car. I'm growing pole beans and bush beans there.
I have a hedge garden [next to our driveway, where I'll put cucumbers and beans too.
