A Grammar Lesson
I realized that when talking about my sisters, I tend to neglect my essential appositives.
For example,
Today my sister had a birthday.
Now if you know enough about my siblings, you might be able to deduce who I am referring to.
Or you could be one of the people who spent our undergrad careere believing I only had one younger sister, when in fact I have three.
I apologize to all of you who were always in the dark, because of my grammatical neglect.
When all I had to say was,
Today my sister Elisa had a birthday.
For neglecting my essential apoositives, I do most humbly apologize.
And now I have to go, a friend of mine is calling.
