Nothing beats riding through Hollywood at 12:30 am blaring White and Nerdy. Oh yeah. (Went to ComedySportz "Yousical" for a friend's birthday.)

Had a epiphany at 1:00 am Thursday night. I was taking a break from a group paper and brainstorming for my Christian Education class. I was thinking of all the things that I had learned from China, and it just hit me.

I LOVE TO TEACH.

Which was awesome. I knew it but had never made the connections, but then I thought.

Why the hell am I a M.Div. and not a M.A.?

Which was soon followed by

Ah crap, does this mean I'm getting a Ph.D.?

So there you have it. Amanda might end up being in school even longer. Part of me has no desire to get a doctorate, but another annoying part is just smiling smugly and saying "I told you so." So we'll see. But I promised myself I would be open to wherever God leads me after Claremont, so I can't just throw this in the closet and lock the door.

Watched Inconceivable Truth and Iraq For Sale. Reccomend both of them. They both have some good information in them, regardless of where you fall on the continuum.

Bob Edgar came and talked about his new book, Middle Church. He used to be the president of Claremont till 2000, is currently the General Sectretary of the National Council of Churches, and served 6 terms in Congress, as a representative. Neat guy. Liked what he wrote in my book. "Always remember: We are the leaders we have been waiting for . . . "
