So, liek, I've done my stint of virtual lurking around places on the webbernets for a while now (though this one was exceptionally long).
Well, classes are interesting this semester. Chemistry laboratory is now bearable due to the new demonstrator we have, who is so much more approachable this time around and marks much nicer. (Last session we confirmed our last one marked everyone harder by having various people hand in near identical reports - in terms of working etc - to respective demonstrators and gurss who's came out on the bottom? :D) Our current lecturer however is incapable of being on time. Arriving 20 minutes late for lectures and tutorial is just not cool...and she wonders why there's so much animosity against her.
Biology on the other hand is a pain in the arse due to Pre-Tests that they're insisting on giving us based solely on reading of chapters of material before it is even given in the corresponding lecture and lab class. The questions are pretty aweful sometimes too, and I don't know whether to consider it to be expected (the amount of material we're supposed to cover) or dumb (no one is supposed to have done this type of biology, evar!)
The lecture today was great though. I wish I had a camera but we have a rather sizeable group (I hand out with Advanced Science and Medical Science students to make me feel smart. D: I get to go to Psych lectures though. :D) and someone went on a food run...but everyone ended up getting this awesome grape juice drink (over a dozen people I think) so we made empty popper towers along with what was probably waaaay too much noise. Ah well...we reasoned we were just making up for the group that is usually there talking or playing shite popular 'RnB' on their laptop. 0:
Maths is statistics for life sciences which even I can do. Enough said.
And finally Politics is a series of case studies of (currently) Plato's "The Republic", Marchiavelli's "The Prince", More's "Utopia" and Hobbe's "Leviathan" which so far looks pretty promising. I don't enjoy the lecturer as much this time around but because she also does the tute it's much more structured this time around.
Soccer season ended with a bit of a whimper this year too, especially considering we were real contenders for a grand final placing...but it was not to be. We had decent games the last to semi-finals played but something was always lacking (such as piss weak shots at goal in the last game we played...you'd think with a chance to score someone would put a bit more power behind a shot. :\). All in all I'm not regretting the decision to not play summer season. I think I need more motivation in order to play again...especially as the season costs around $75.
Hurm. Other than that it's been relatively quiet. S'funny though that the first weekend I was going to have totally free (to play PvPXtreme!!!11!) ends up being busy again by me having to do casual at the Pharmacy and a chemistry group assignment. Doesn't really matter though I guess as there's no one around to PvP with during my day though. Timezones rule.
And now to the random stuffs.
So stolen from that thing Airin did, but I don't remember when:
Me, looking shifty as I usually do at Uni. Whether it's stealing answers, CDs, or nougat. Unexplicably no matter the weather I always wear the flip-flops when I can. My toes will drop off from the mistreatment one day I know.
And the Mary Sue (which I just took to be more extravagent dress-ups). Her name is Dark Angel Raven Midnight Mark II. She's a robot who is enslaved by ravers (them colourful beads are restraining thingies), but all she really wants to be is a marmoset...She's also destined to die a tragically tragic death. :'(
And then I did some quick doodlies of KotOR: The Sith Lord characters because TP indirectly got me re-enthused about it. I'd draw Kriea but I suck arse at drawing teh oldies convincingly. (Size is also shitty because I draw too randomly in my sketchbooks. :D)
