back after greece
and there is a wicked thunderstorm stirring outside.
one where it has only just started to rain, in heavy drops... and it is warm, not windy.
and the lightning flashes everywhere far away.
the thunder just now cracked so hard and so loudly... i haven't heard it that way in a long time.
if i like nothing else about this apartment, i like the way the rain smacks against the thin windows.
i just hope it stays only a storm, because i am not safe from any possible tornadoes here.
other than that.... greece was amazing. pictures will come soon via facebook.
it was a good reminder that i am a person beyond arcadia, beyond my life here.
i know that, but it was good to be that way again. to live those other parts of myself.
to play my trumpet, to be with jake for more than a couple of days.
to enjoy the sight and ambiance of places not familiar to me.
but,
im happy to see my rats again--they are snuggled in bed with me.
i am not so happy about going back to work, but it's always ok in the end.
