Huzzah! It's olympic day!
It's uber good luck day in China. 8 is China's good luck if you didn't know that...4 is also like our number 13. I just remembered I have another full album of China pics from when I went. I'll upload them to facebook very soon.
Just a random thought, I LOVE meeting new people, especially girls who actually have potent video game knowledge. I think they make the best friends I could talk to any video game person for days and days for some reason. Ah well, no one likes video games 24/7 right? lol Who knows maybe video games will dig up something else to jaw about...probably not though...
I sucked at drumming today. All my fills were off time, each cadence got sloppy after four measures. All my covers got screwed up after the first verse and chorus. although, it could be because I was trying all new songs this time. Here's my new cover list for the week
Paramore: Misery Business (actually did fairly well on the intro, just need to work on the verse parts)
Paramore: Crushcrushcrush (fairly easy song, did pretty well)
Paramore: That's what you get ( I had the most trouble on this one...the fills come after long rests and I lose count pretty easily during that so I'll need to work on it)
Bullet for my Valentine: 10 years today (I actually did decently on the first half, the double bass triplets in the beginning weren't hard at all and they flow together nicely, should be fine polished in a bout a week or two.)
....you all remember powerman 5000? I'm revisiting their two singles. The bloodhound gang as well...it's good times. great oldies...(name the radio station, you'll get a treat).
Ah well, I caught a bit of the gphoria game awards today...and I have to say I'm not too impressed with the gaming community out there. I mean come on guys...Halo3 won game of the year? That's the biggest heaping helping of bullshit I've ever been forced to swallow. Trust me, I've eaten enough to qualify as the biggest bull in the heard. I didn't see very many other categories...rock band won best downloadables...longest lasting game went to Gta4. Mgs4 won best graphics AND best voice acting! Woot!
Wow...you'll never guess what popped up on pandora radio...fucking Randy Newman...you got a friend in me...So I'm rocking out to images of toy story while I paint. It's been a weird day lol. Ah well, I can forgive pandora just this once. It's been sweet so far. Now the wishful thinking begins with all the different songs. lol my world would be perfect if all the things that happened in the songs I listen to actually happened. Maybe one day it will eh?
wow now red jumpsuit apparatus...their first song about abuse and what not. Is it sad that the only thing I got from this song was I really like the tight (the literal, not hip lingo) sound the drummer got out of his snare. Oh, and his use of ghost notes. sounds pretty sweet. Ah well...it either means I'm desensitized to abuse (highly unlikely) or I'm just really addicted to drumming (probably the reason) ((WOOT PARAMORE!)) heh, yep girly day today.
Wow I'm really sorry for all that crap up there ^^^^^^ HUGE stream of consciousness so it's probably incoherent and shitty horrible writing with about 50 million (...) Ah well, odds are if it was that bad you would have stopped reading before you even got to this point so why bother writing this part? Ah well. Hope you enjoyed it.
