it's been awhile, since i could hold my head up high...
hello all you loyal lj users, the select few that there actually are lol. i just randomly decided to sign in and saw that some of my friends actually still post on here so i figured, what the heck. why not update on my life. so here it goes.
school:
well kids i'm still on academic probation. things last semester went better in some classes and crappy in others, per usual. in some ways i'm growing and developing into the academic person i always wanted to be, but then at the same time i don't want to get up and go to class so i end up failing. ugh.
this semester is starting off well. i'm changing my major to photography and i'm really excited about it. i'll be poor for the rest of my life but who cares, i'll be excited to get up in the morning and go to work, something i've always wanted. i'm currently taking drawing i and art concepts (two of the three pre reqs) and plan on taking the last one next semester. i'm still having to keep myself in check though, with the help of ben. he's been a blessing when it comes to getting me to get off my lazy butt and go to class, though sometimes it's met with quite a fight for the opposite from me. :S
work:
after months of unemployment i now work at the fayette mall old navy. i'm way excited to be a part time associate there now rather than the unpredictable seasonal position i was originally hired for. i apparently impressed my managers and blended in well with the other regular workers so the decided to keep me. i enjoy the work, and love the people though as with all jobs (especially retail) i find myself dreading going in some days (especially the early shifts) but one of my goals was to improve and excel at work. so here's to that.
so yea...there it is.
