(no subject)
So this recent lull in employment (the life of a contractor, which tends to get old real quick) has left me lots of time to get some at-home work done.
The Millenium Earl mask is coming along awesomely. It amazes me how i can visualize a concept on how to do something on the mask, and be damned that it works. In other con-related stuff, Ohayocon is starting to look iffy. My car's a/c compressor clutch is about ready to seize up, and i have to save up to replace it. Worse-case scenario is i'll just rent a car to drive to/fro Ohio.
Received a call last week from the woman who feeds all the ferals around here. I've decided to feed the ones who congregate on my side of the street (see map a couple of posts back.) She told me there were about 5-6 on that side, but i've only seen one of two until this even. i counted 3 black cats and 2 white/black mix. i've also decided to make a few cat shelters, which are fairly easily to make if you're like us cosplayers who like crafty stuff.
On Friday my Dad developed a high fever and abdominal pains and was taken to the hospital. The docs suspected the gallbladder and sure enough it was gangrene, so out it goes. I was hoping it was just gallstones, but oh well...no more Sonic burgers for Dad.
