maybe the french aren't so bad after all
I haven't run into lost tourists in a while, but today while running errands I spotted two elderly French couples consulting a map and looking very confused. They were trying to get to the White House and had wandered over to Chinatown. They also didn't speak much English so they had a hard time understanding my directions. Finally I just decided to walk with them a few blocks to get them started in the right direction. One guy was so grateful that he air-kissed both of my cheeks, thought better of it, and then actually kissed them. I've forgotten how much I enjoy being hospitable haha.
