Independence

Independence day.  I'm not going to blog about what it means or some kind of halfway patriotic reflection about how pretty our beaches and mountains are.

But this is what I know: what we have now is not independence.  Being merely a step away from people who were kidnapped/detained or are under surveillance is not independence.  The Human Security

You forgot...don't forget to vote! ;) Of some of the things you have control over, it's your right to vote, even if our wholesome leaders screw up the numbers.

These days, money runs our government and too much money in the government means trouble, trouble, trouble.

If we do ask questions and poke something that didn't want to be poked, we'll be one of many who are snatched and killed in the name of those who wish to remain in power. So...might I add that if you do ask questions, do it with prudence. :P

Oh and this is coming from someone who was burned from too much poking and question-asking. Sad to say that this is the case even in our little micro-verses like schools and companies.
