Remember my last post about an SEO contest?
(to the unitiated - SEO is the practice of optimizing a website to get it to rank well in search engines like Google)
I was winning. I was #1 two weeks in a row.
Now, whenever I practice SEO, I never do anything naughty or blackhat or whatever.
So it was a SHOCK to see Wordpress.com suspend my contest entry! Just when the blog was getting successful! (I already got a backlink from one of the Inquirer.net blogs, as well as other stuff)
I didn't - repeat, DIDN'T - do anything bad. I checked the Terms of Service thoroughly.
So I suspect foul play.
I hate it when people play dirty. I especially hate when they whine and brag that they should be #1. I was winning the contest quietly, without bragging about it or whining in public whenever I'd temporarily drop a few notches from the top.
They may have gotten my account suspended, but they don't know that this makes me more determined to win.
So I'm back - vengeful, but in an inspired way.
Here's my new entry:
pinoy money talk If you want to help me take vengeance on evildoers, please post the following code anywhere in a blog post:
pinoy money talk Thanks! Feel free to comment on the blog itself (
Frugal Pinoy) and let me know what you think.
P.S. I am devastated that I lost quite a lengthy article I wrote about emergency funds on the suspended site.
