Apple and cinnamon oatmeal

Nene's cousin brought us a big bunch of apples, and I always wanted to make apple pie so I thought I should try it.  But I'm too lazy to bake anything, so I thought I'd just make the filling.  I got a little hungry and decided to make my apple pie filling.

But there wasn't enough sugar.

So I decided to make an apple and cinnamon flavored oatmeal instead.

Here's what I used: a cup of oatmeal, half an apple, a teaspoon of cinnamon, a lot of sugar, milk

I boiled the diced apples first, then added the oatmeal, sugar, milk and cinnamon.

It tastes good, but I should've added the sugar and cinnamon in with the apples and let them simmer a bit before I added the oatmeal.  Cause when I bite into the apple bits, it seems like the flavor didn't seep into the apples well enough.  I was sort of in a hurry so they didn't get that tender, but if I was in less of a hurry I would've waited around 8 minutes to wait for them to soften up and mix well with the sugar and cinnamon before adding the oatmeal.  It's ok, but tastes as if I have cinnamon flavored oatmeal with apples chucked in rather than apple and cinnamon oatmeal.
