Okay, I probably could, but I'm not gonna.
For those of us who do history in any fashion or form...I give you the
IWG: International Wenches Guild and their brother affiliate IBRSC: The International Brotherhood of Rogues, Scoundrels and Cads.
I've often been called 'wench' in and out of costume...any costume, any period. I should join.
And speaking of costumes, is anyone interested in a series of links and books on ancient costumes? Considering my thesis topic got shifted to just such of a thing, I kinda wondered if anyone else gave a hooey? If so, answer le poll! And Dr. Z? If you get this, willing to beg for any resources on ancient Macedonian daily life, if we have such critters around. I'm still trying to figure out if I want to do Athens, camp life following Alexander's army to hell and gone, or Macedonian daily life during or before Philip II. Except for camp life, I figured everything else would be pretty similar...maybe different trade goods or something. Everything I can find is either Sparta or Athens particularly with other areas thrown in just for variety or to say "but they could get it from Cyprus!" or "but it was available through trade with Persia!" Bah! I vish vor authenticity, you 'could bes' and 'could have hads'!
