On windows and Romanesque Abbeys

I can't begin to tell you how happy I am that this week is finished! Our house is rather old and the past few years the windows could have been used as sieves; I used to say that every time I'd take a shower the garden got watered, and I was barely exaggerating. So, we had to have all of them replaced, and as our dog can't stand strangers working in his home -he's able to bark non-stop for hours on end in such a situation-, we had to flee the house with him every day. It was tiresome, and as I haven't entirely recovered my strenght yet, I'm pretty exhausted now and my house is a mess. But at least we have sparkling windows, and we got to see some lovely places in my canton.:)

For example, the first day we visited Romainmôtier, a medieval town with a beautiful half Romanesque half Gothic Abbey. I took a few photos with my phone.

The Abbey itself: as you can see, the weather was glorious.

Another picture of the Abbey:

The Prior House. It's now a café with a wonderful view of the Abbey. I couldn't help playing with filters, so the colours are a bit too saturated.

A view of an old tree and older roofs:

Romainmôtier seen through some still naked bushes:

The same, through a filter. I like how the picture looks like a faded old print.
