School started three weeks ago, and it's been every bit as hectic as I thought it would be. I'd hoped I wouldn't have to work full time this year, but I was wrong. A teacher resigned without warning, the principal asked me if I could substitute for him, and of course I found myself unable to turn him down... I'm weak. *grumbles* The only good thing is that I've got a relatively tight schedule, so I have Friday afternoons off. Yay!
So last Friday I happily sat down at my desk, intending to read my flist and write a little, but I found my laptop inert and completely unresponsive. I tried every trick I could think of, to no avail. My husband examined it when he came home, but he wasn't more successful than I in reviving it. The demise of my faithful laptop didn't come as a complete surprise, though; it was a 8 year old antique, and it had been acting up for a while. I was in the process of backing up everything I had on it, but unfortunately I have been lazy wasn't entirely successful, and I've lost a lot of pictures and a couple fics, one (C/Z) finished and ready to be posted and another one (F/S) that just needed a little polishing.:(
My husband and I shared his laptop for a few days, but the cohabitation was eventful, to say the least. We are flat broke these days, but we both agreed that since it was likely our couple would burst into flames if we didn't acquire a second computer ASAP, we had to break open our skinny piggy bank. So yesterday I bought a new laptop, and I'm already feeling better!:D It's a wee thing, but it was on sale, and I'll mostly use it to write and access the internet anyway. I definitely don't need a Formula one computer.
I was a little disappointed to have lost my C/Z fic, though. I started writing it last Spring, and I was quite happy about it, if I do say so myself; it was a C/Z first time story, with a romantic Casey obsessing about finding the perfect setting for their first time, and a very patient Zeke. Of course, reality kept getting in the way of Casey's fantasies, so there was a lot of UST. It was rather long (about 3000 words), and I know I won't be able to rewrite it in its entirety. So I decided to try and condense the 3000 words fic into a tribble that would sum up the essence of the story...:)
Title: After the first time
Pairing: Casey/Zeke
Rating: R
Word count: 300
Out of breath and covered in sweat, Casey collapsed back on the seat and burst out laughing.
“What?” Zeke panted. He was lying heavily on Casey, but Casey found he really enjoyed the feeling of being half-crushed under the weight of Zeke's tall muscular body.
“I was just thinking about how I did everything in my power to prevent our first time from happening in the back seat of a car, like everybody else in Herrington... And here we are, cramped in the back seat of the GTO, with our bellies glued together with my spunk and your cock up my ass... How romantic!” Casey shook his head, his laugh turning a little sardonic. Zeke grinned down at him.
“Well, technically my cock's just slipped out of your ass, as you may have noticed ... And we could've done it outside in the woods as you planned it. In the rain. Covered in mud. Then we could've been struck by lightning in the middle of orgasm, and we'd have died in each other's arms. That would've been romantic!” As if to illustrate Zeke's scenario, the rain redoubled, and a clap of thunder made the windows rattle alarmingly. Shuddering, Casey snuggled up to Zeke and kissed his chest, then his neck and the corner of his jaw.
“I've been a little too concerned about romanticism lately, I admit. Maybe I should stop reading so much romance and fanfic... You were right, the most important part in a first time isn't the setting. And now that I'm a little more experienced...” He nipped Zeke's chin and pressed his rapidly hardening cock against Zeke's belly.
“...I'd happily swap a romantic first time under the stars for the chance to have a lot of unromantic second times with you.”
