So maybe you're wondering if I have any thoughts on the Doctor Who Christmas special, but I don't really, because I tried to watch it yesterday and only got through about half of it because my levels of I DON'T CARE became unbearable and I decided that sleep would be more novel and exciting than this. Not even Richard E. Grant could make me care,

Well, the problem is really that a) I'm supposed to be studying, there'll be time for fandom once I've got my degree, and b) I hate making new friends. Plus, fandom has become kinda weird in that some of it is on tumblr and some of it is on dreamwidth and some of it here and god knows where else but none of it seems to be (inter)active in the way it used to be.

I have watched/read some things in the last two years that I could be fannish about (I'd always be ready for a revival of old-timey Star Trek fandom, I might have gotten into James Bond fandom if there had been more of it, I almost started writing Dresden Files, I'm watching Supernatural right now when it's late and I can't sleep, I could definitely be into Avengers or Marvel comics - I have enough shows, I just don't connect with their fandoms the way I connected with SV and Doctor Who.)
