Fic: Justifying Ill Opinion

I can't keep my comment-fic short - but at least that's an excuse for taking so long to write this. That, and I had to watch Avengers. This is for dragonofmemory who gave me superheroes and Robert Burn's "To A Mouse" as a prompt.

I am enjoying it! If this sticks around for a few more seasons, I could like it as much as I liked Justice League Unlimited (or even more).

Just read this on ths bus because my EDA sucked and I remembered I had this power (though posting has never worked before and I don't trust it now). Anyway (in case it does) I love it so hard I wish it had been the gift to me! I want to read all the avengers fic now, whereas before I was just kind of interested. 40 cakes! Tony wants to rule benevolently! I just died a bit of joy.

It worked! I shall write a longer comment!!

How is this fic so perfect? It's so good. I love panther's wise advice and cap's list of likes according to tony. Alos ant man being a geek is brilliant. If I could ask again I would want tony and hank working together fic... Not that I think I could like it more than this :)

You could ask again - your prompt is actually giving me a hard time because while I can definitely see "the Deca as the Gallifreyan Avengers", I really can't get "the Avengers as Time Lords" to work. And I like Hank and I like Tony, so. That could work.

There isn't a lot of EMA fic, but there are tons of great Avengers stories. Which I like, because I have been reading Steve/Tony occasionally for more than two years and now finally the fandom is bigger than three people.

oh dear - i'm sorry for being difficult. i can change my prompt if you like, yes! do you want a song or a poem or something, or are you happy with almost no prompt at all?

also - should you ever be really bored... i would appreciate a list of avengers fic you'd recommend. but only if you're very bored, otherwise i can do the hard work myself.

You wrote EMH fic! I love you! ^_^

It's so fluffy and perfect, and Tony even learns a valuable lesson! Mark the day on the calendar! I love everybody's ideas and that Panther is once again the one with the only useful idea, and this line,

Okay. Tony can do that. He knows a bunch of things Cap likes. World peace, for example.

because Steve really is the sweetest thing. *g*

This year in writing is like Marvel bingo for me ;)

Steve's secret mutant superpower is being a good person.

Mem would comment, but she died about part way through the fic from laughing and no one has found a phoenix down yet. The bluescreen of death, Tony building Brooklyn (he's not very good at toning this down, is he? XD), cake (and forty of them!), the list of things Cap likes, Steve crying through Titanic, Tony's presentations of The Plans, the Star Trek references, the broom.... I loved it all. It was brilliant.

Also, I love the whole Brooklyn bit on the emotional level as well. Tony walking through it and then having a hologram of Steve in there as well were both brilliant. And your descriptions of Steve when he realizes it isn't actually the 40's. It was delicious angst and I adored it.

Thor and Steve have many things in common besides being huge and blond. They come from a different world, a simpler world, and in many ways they are simpler people. Upstanding, straightforward. Manly. Both Thor and Steve are very manly. That would be the bit that killed me, just so you know. That whole scene with Thor was me rolling on the ( ... )

See, your prompt is perfect for just about any superhero, so that was easy.

Also, Steve would so cry during Titanic. I mean. People freezing to death and slipping down into the sea, and Rose mourning Jack in the future (well, the present, but for Cap it's the future) and it's him and Bucky and Peggy and, and this is proof I grew up in the nineties, isn't it? I never even LIKED Titanic that much.

And you did it beautifully. I adored it. <3 In fact, you can even have my trueborn children or virgins. Or mead. Really, that sounds like the best of the bunch. XD

He would. And you'd want to cuddle him for it, because he's Steve. XD And there's nothing wrong with the nineties. There's plenty of Awesome stuff from the nineties. Carmen Sandiego for one.

No, mead is vile. Seriously, worst alcohol ever. I'd take children, virgins or livestock over it any time.
