annoying bureaucracy things (and some not so annoying ones)

So the school where I'm going to do my Praxissemester in fall wants me to show up in July for a first meeting - on the 20th, which is the week in which I planned to go back to Germany. I could take a flight on the weekend, but weekend flights are usually quite a bit more expensive than midweek flights. This is annoying. I don't want to skip the first meeting, though, because while I don't much care about the impression I make on the school, it'll also be the first time all the interns meet, and I don't want to be the odd one out among them. So I'll probably aim for the Thursday or Wednesday before that, although that means I'll have about half a day to pack my stuff. Otoh, I never sleep properly the night before long journeys, so whatever, there'll be enough time to pack. It's just annoying me - they said the first meeting would be at the beginning of August, and now it's not!

In better news the company that owns my student hall is giving everyone 75£ (more than a week's rent!) back for the time when the internet was so crappy, which is nice.

More annoying, again, is that my scholarship dudes have decided to do the scholarship calculation for next year in the next four weeks, which means I'll have to do all that paperwork from England, which is sucktastic.

But, otoh, I've now got regular health insurance again, after Heidelberg uni did a little flounce and demanded that on top of the travel insurance I've got now, I need regular insurance as well! Which is annoying, but now it's over :)
