A little plea...
Hello, everyone!
I just started the community random_auction to help Random Acts fundraisers for Hope to Haiti 2011 connect with those willing to donate if they get something amazing in return.
This came about because I noticed that some working adults with stable jobs were able to raise funds much more easily than students in this. Props to them, but students need to rally around and send at least some of us, too!
Thing is, I'm pretty new to all this still. I'm not completely comfortable with LJ, so I'm asking for help. I need any and all support you can offer: making promo graphics like banners and icons, moderating the comm or making it easier to navigate, getting a good layout, and most of all, a little help promoting it so more people are aware of it.
It's going to be multi-fandom, not just Supernatural, and multi-media, so if all works out as planned, you can offer or bid on just about anything. I want to make it open for people to offer fics, graphics, art, videos, audio, music, physical objects, services, etc, etc.
All money raised will go to Misha Collins' charity Random Acts directly through Crowdrise.
So... please... any help, advice, or support you can offer would be so appreciated, you have no idea.
