Not So Popular
Well, I have not been faring so well in the Internet writing/popularity contests.
In terms of fiction, my story A Collection of Ill-Advised Facebook Status Updates is in fourth place with 178 facebook "likes." The first place piece has 312. There are five more days to go in the voting, but it is clear I need to get outside my inner circle.
On the non-fiction front, my guest blog entry in the Job Mob Contest has been viewed 190 times since Monday afternoon. The leader has 1550. Where do people gather that kind of support?
Obviously, this is the kind of model that fatigues people. I wish there was another way to get paid for writing....
