Turkey day was a joy from beginning to end.
No hurt feelings; no burnt biscuits, plenty of stuffing and cranberries.
Just for clarity's sake, we have both dinner rolls and biscuits, along with stuffing, potatoes and a couple other kinds of starch. Dinner was especially light on the veggies this year, as the REAL veggie enthusiasts were elsewhere this year.
.....Boy would I have like to be a fly on THAT wall........but that is another story altogether. The girls (my grand nieces) were perfectly well behaved for their ages. My niece commented at least twice that she was glad we were so relaxed with them. (What? Like my own children were not ten times more obstreperous at that age?)
They were both a joy to behold and were held quite a lot. Great Auntie Bridget could not put them down; LOL.
Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time. Today is rainy and dreary; a wonderful day to recover. Tomorrow, we head out to the Funny Farm in Unity. Frank has not seen the farm yet. It will be good to catch up with our friends.
Hope everyone is having a safe and joyous holiday!
