"Growing Up and Feeling Good"
School is starting up again very soon. It's a strange feeling knowing that I'll be back in the swing of things in a little more than a week. But I'm anxious to be completely moved in and for everyone to be back in LA.
I'm ashamed to admit it, but I ended up getting all my furniture from Ikea. But I'm definitely happy with the new bed/dresser/desk. Over the past couple days David and I built them over at the apartment (and by David and I, I mean mostly David). So all I've got left is moving everything else over from home. Which should be fun. Note the sarcasm.
I started watching Arrested Development on DVD a couple days ago. It's hilarious. David Cross and Jeffrey Tambor are fantastic. This is the type of show I'd love to write for. This and cartoons.
Speaking of cartoons, TestiPals! #2 is (for all intents and purposes) DONE. So if you wanna see it, you know where to find me. Or you could wait until we put it online. Which could take as long as one week to one year. Who knows.
Harry helped me write another draft of Sassy Blackwoman. The story's a bit tighter now, as is the dialogue. I'm ready for everyone to come in town so we can shoot it.
Ken and Jill (our live-in couple) are finally moving out tomorrow on account of finding a place. It'll be nice to have the house back to normal again. Granted, I'm leaving so soon that it hardly matters. It's strange that I probably won't be coming back to my house next summer...another step towards adulthood. Scary.
Lastly, I saw Katie tonight which was really nice. We just sat around and talked. I'm glad we were able to get past everything that happened and just be friends again. Hopefully we'll keep in touch over the coming year, because frankly, she was one of my closest friends for most of senior year, and it's just sad to lose contact with people you were so close with in general. That's the growing up thing, again, though. I don't know how much I like it yet.
