Ever so slightly tipsy

I've just been out for dinner with my parents and some old friends of theirs who are visiting.  We had a very nice evening and it was lovely to catch up with Alan and Joy.  I've not seen Alan for a number of years - he has periods of extreme depression so he won't see people, but at the moment he's in one of his "up" phases and was on fine form tonight.  Dave, my father and Alan drank rather a lot of beer and were very rowdy (and rather funny too).  Me, Mum and Joy caught up on the gossip and talked about the sadness of Sarah's funeral two weeks ago (Joy attended, Alan didn't).  A nice evening was had by all, although Dave is in a state and has gone to bed!

Now I'm tired, but not ready to go to bed.  I think I'll have a cup of tea, check my flist and then head off.
