Housecleaning sucks

I have spent the day cleaning the house when I had planned to lie in bed.  But I was so aware of four weeks worth of dog hair drifts on the carpet, gritty mud in the hall and the washing malingering in the washbasket that I had to get up at 9am and start work cleaning up my pit.  I hate housecleaning with a passion as it is never ending.  As soon as something is clean, the dogs come along and shake mud at it or drop dog hair on it, or Dave leaves his muddy boots lying around.  It's like living in a student house where no-one wants to take the responsibility of cleaning up.  I resent it SO much.  I want a cleaner!

So after I'd finished cleaning and had a bath, I watched The Libertine, a film about the Second Earl of Rochester in the reign of Charles II.  It's OK, I have to say I wasn't gripped by it, and I actually found Depp's performance a bit weak.  None of the characters were ever really rounded out, they were all very much flat stereotypes, and as for the promised libertine-like behaviour, this was pretty much absent after the first five minutes!
