Involuntary Resentment
I don't want to have these thoughts but here they are:
I gave up:
My name
My career
My friends
My body
To become a family. I now have a family that I've always dreamed of. But they are still your family.
My question is, what have you given up for me?
I moved here to arkansas because it was your dream to join the military. It's your dream to fly with the plane and travel, though I get left behind with our baby. It was your dream to be a father.
What about my dreams? My dream to backpack around Europe after I graduated college? My dream of teaching English in another country? My dream if teaching period?
I appreciate everything I have. I really do. I just hope you know everything that I have done for you. And I hope you appreciate me too.
