[Drabble of the Day] Full Time Job

Ruki slowly rode his bike, synchronized his speed with the footsteps beside him. It was a plain morning, cloudy skies and the morning breeze calmed his restless brain. Day offs had always been great, especially with his dear lover with him. Well of course he was always with him all the time at tour, practice and recording... but it was all about work. Holiday is a little break to enjoy some quality time together, forgetting works and tour or practice for a day or two... or three.
A sweat slowly dropped along his neck, and he wiped it with his small towel. Then a bottle of water was offered to his hand, gratefully he took the bottle and drink its contain. It's just a normal fresh water, just like a normal people would bring on a Sunday morning jogging. Saying 'thank you' softly, he gave the bottle back to his lover. His dog, Koron, running along with them with a lash on the others hand.
"I've always been a tense kid, haven't I?" Ruki let out his thought.
"Yeah, it showed quite obvious."
"You could get tired of me anytime soon."
A sweet chuckle was heard, "No, you're my full time job. How could I get tired of you if I enjoy every second of it?" then a small bark interupt, "No, Koron. You're Ruki's full time job, not mine." The little dog sat and wiggled his tiny tail, looking up with his big-sad puppy eyes. "Aww... okay okay, you're my full time job too then." a couple of barks and Koron stood up, happy.
"He should be very happy with his small doggy world, sometimes I envy him." They stopped at a vacant bench and decided to take a little rest there.
"Why? Because he was a cute dog?"
"No, because he had nothing to think of. I've always think about everything, anxious about a simple little thing... I always have words stuck up in my brain. Even our songs can't handle them all."
A hand stroke his back soothingly, "Ruki, you have me, remember?"
"How could i forget? You always there." Ruki chuckled lowly. "Even if i don't want you to."
"I know you maybe tired of hearing this, Ruki. But when you're with me, please let loose. Let me take care of you."
"I'm getting tired of hearing that, yes."
"Then just do it so I don't have to say it again and again."
A good moment of silence.
"You can't get tired or me, Kai. Don't you ever." Ruki let out a small sigh. Kai smiled at him.
"I know so, it's a pledge." He said convincingly. Ruki held Kai's hand on the bench,
"If I let loose very badly, promise me you won't scared to see the pieces."
Still smiling, Kai caressed Ruki's cheek, "I will pick up the pieces and put it back together."
Ruki let himself consumed by that sunshine smile, closed his eyes contently and rest his head on Kai's strong shoulder. Then a protest bark for being forgotten was heard and Koron jumped on Kai's lap, curling and breathing slowly.
"See? Even Koron trust his life on me."
