the weekend in retrospect
This weekend was really different and much more relaxed than I,ve had in a long time. There were no thrilling events or concerts, and no crappy friends/girlfriend standard emo drama crap that seems to have engulfed me lately. Just a relaxing, satisfying weekend.
Friday night me and Brad went and got Lucy. It was her first birthday, so we just hung out at Brad's house with her. Went and got Cursive's "Domestica" and Murder By Death's "Who Will Survive, and What Will Be Left of Them?". Both very cool CDs.
Saturday I went to work at 7:00 A.M. Sucked ass. Had to clean bathrooms and take out BIG garbage bags that were heavy and leaking smelly brown garbage juice, which conveniently got on my pants. I've been wanting to quit so bad lately, and the manager being a bossy dick wasn't helping, but then he changed and actually was nice and helped me with the smelly garbage. Still want to quit soon though. Got off work 2 hours early. Very happy then. Went with Brad to get presents for Lucy's party, ate at Andolini's and talked to Greg, and then hung out with Brad and Aman. Late that night went to SoCal with Aman, Brad, Ben, and Adam. Ended night watching "Aliens" at Brads. Awesome movie.
Today: Sunday, went and got presents for Lucy's party. Got her a stuffed black cat, rubber duckeys, and some swimming pool thing. Also got "Rain Man" and "12 Angry Men" DVDs (for myself). Went to Lucy's party. Lots of people there, it was lots of fun. Lucy is such a cool baby. Got to see Sarah and Steven's baby for the first time, she's like a month old. Very tiny. Later, went to visit relatives in town from Nebraska a.k.a. the middle of nowhere. Have not seen them in a few years, felt very good to see them. My cousin Kelly(30, married) has two daughters named Blake(2 1/2) and
Ryan(11 mo.). Had fun meeting and playing with them. I love them, they're awesome kids.
