My very first public talk (admittedly not a huge audience, but still!) on 中國戲劇 at the
JING Institute went splendidly (well, I thought so & those in attendance seemed to find it engaging, even though I didn't have speakers so we had a bit of a problem when trying to listen to already really quiet 崑曲). Hopefully the first of many over the course of my career. We had yummy Thai afterwards, so now on to a well-deserved nap & then back to the grindstone. I forgot to ask one of the owners about music lessons - I know she plays the guzheng & I'd really love to pick up one of the Asian zithers. Maybe next time! I'd never been to a wushu studio before, and OMG - I wish I could teach on such a beautiful and cushy floor every day. Being there almost made me want to take up taiji ....
The dog was not doing this when I got home (though it's a good thing
jencallisto convinced me to buy another full/queen comforter, since the dog is as big a fan of the new down one as I am):
But was cheerfully carrying around her favorite "everlasting treat ball" toy and doing her happy yowl, which sounds funny indeed when her mouth is really full! She loves her treat ball & I always feel bad having to put it up, as she stands at the bookcase and stares at it longingly.
