After the jump, since there are a ton of them. Most of them are of Ft. Huachuca, AZ (as my mother says, 'If there's a prettier post in the Army, I haven't seen it - with the possible exception of Jackson Barracks [New Orleans, LA]'). The 'old post' is on the historic register list; the country is gorgeous, and one can see why the Chiricahua Apache (ie, Geronimo) did NOT want to leave, especially for f'ing Phoenix.
My last trip to AZ was a clusterfuck, but I never complain about a chance to return to the summers of my youth in beautiful 'Sorry Vista,' where the weather is lovely but the mountains and summer rainstorms are even more gorgeous, and the Huachucas and Whetstones share a spot in my heart with my beloved Blue Ridge.
