(no subject)
Well, with some creative use of fishing line & the existing curtain rods (well, not rods - bars), I am getting my new curtains jerry rigged. Pictures forthcoming - though I suppose if you're not woquinoncoin or rjhudson (or even wunderbaum), the miraculous transformation aspect is sort of lost. It DOES look a lot nicer than it did. Not like it would've been hard, but ...
I still need more carpets, buuuut I am hopefully going over to Ikea tomorrow. Ikea is sure to have little area rugs to complement my nice new rag rugs. I would HOPE so, at least.
(Also hopefully buying a new mattress, since this one disturbs me & it's not the kind you can flip over. But if they can't haul my old one away ... urk. Maybe I can buy a mattress topper, that might solve the problem suitably).
I ought to be studying for my ICLP placement test tomorrow, but you know, I figure I'll wind up where I wind up (which will be at the bottom of the pile, no matter what) - Sebbie told me not to worry about it, and I'm inclined to agree. I will be reviewing my book tonight, but I'm firmly of the opinion that when it comes to languages, it's generally better to be placed a smidge too low than too high.
So since I've scrapped the idea of frantic studying, my agenda for today is as follows:
- bath
- clean!
- more curtain jerry rigging!
- unpacking
- reorganizing
- dinner with esprit_froid and juineve
- hopefully some PS2-ing somewhere in there
- a little bit of studying
It sounds doable, I think.
