Part 1: last weekend
Quick recap:
- Dinner party Friday; I made shepherd's pie, which as always looks so gross but tastes delicious.
- Jenni came up to see me, so we went out Saturday & Sunday - dinner at Aztlan Sat., some misc. shopping on Sunday. We hit Old Navy. I got a darling vest, perfect for when the weather gets nippier in Taipei (EXACTLY what I was looking for last spring in Taipei & never did find), a pretty skirt, and some flip flops. I would've felt bad about the flip flops, since Taipei IS practically flip flop capital of the world, but they're very purty.
- Picked up Atelier Iris 2, which is WONDERFUL - I love it just as much as the original, and maybe even a bit more (though it doesn't have the hilarious side quest that I loved in the first). It's fabulous. Total proof that a game doesn't have to look like Final Fantasy to be abso-fucking-lutely awesome. Pared down graphics that look like 16 bit, music to match, a good story, great characters, and it's FUN! I also have Xenosaga III, but haven't dived into that yet.
- Left for AZ on Monday.
Pictures behind the cut!

I think she was anxiously awaiting Dave getting back from the coffee shop.

Mmm. Good Mexican. Mmmm. I was even tacky and got fajitas. Still delicious!
