Me (being evidently upset but very determined)
-- I don't get it! I live in NY, and I am stuck with this project in NJ. Erika (my peer) lives in NJ, and she is stuck with that new project in NY. This is crazy! Can't we just switch our assignments?
Mgr (being evidently exhausted but also very determined)
-- I told you many times "NO". You started it, and you are going to manage it till the end. I am not moving you anywhere.
Me (moaning)
