Domoto Tsuyoshi's drama

Jan 23, 2016 16:04

With my recent love for Kinki Kids, can't help but to dig into their old dramas, Tsuyoshi in particular. I feel like Tsuyo in his younger days are more attractive, especially during his Kindaichi era and his eyes just sparkle. And then his hair and styles got a little weird but he is still loveable 😘 These dramas are a bit hard to find, since they are old but here's the recent ones I watched (and I love it). I'm still trying to find some of Koichi's dramas, but looks like he is not that active in the drama-land. I think Tsuyo is a great actor. He is able to play different sort of characters and different drama genres.

Click on the picture (if you can't, it means I couldn't find the source) to watch/download the dramas. Ame no Uta has the bacth torrent for Ao no Jidai and Kimi to Ita Mirai no Tameni, but sometimes there are no seeders. Let me know if you want to download it, I'll help you seed if I can. Other dramas is available from either dramanice or dramago.

Ao no Jidai

I really love this drama, plus Tsuyo is so hot in here XD Its about deliquents who try to turn their lives around and become a better person. It makes me realise how little chance the society gave the so called "criminals" who genuinely want to live a better lives and the challenges they face trying to fit into the society.

The only thing I hate is the twist in the middle - with the lawyer's dual personality, but overall the drama is great. And Akane x Ryuu are so cute together.

Yume no California

Surprisingly I really love this drama a lot :) And I think all three characters really reflect our daily lives and struggle in general. Glad that the three managed to become best buddies and glad that the plot truly revolves around that friendship and not turning it into a romance. Well, there is some sort of jealousy and misunderstanding along the way, but the two girls managed to turn it into a joke and laugh it off.

The source I got is from dramanice- their websites change over time, but the subtitle for some of the episodes are out of sync :( if someone knows a better source please let me know, because its a great drama.

Kimi to Ita Mirai no Tameni

Another interesting drama, although I don't really like the sort of message it gives. Seems like Atsushi (Tsuyo) was able to change the future somehow by going back to the past. Most of time travelling dramas usually sent the message that no matter how you try to change past, the future still holds, hence you shouldn't look back to the past. But overall its an interesting sci-fi drama. I think this drama was a lead up to the millenium year 2000. I remember back then a lot of drama was related to the "millenium" end of world thingy.

Its about a college student, with no accomplishment in life, who suddenly dies .. Only to wake up as himself four years ealier. No matter what he does, he seems to die on the very same day and his life keeps on returning to four years ago. He then realises that he is not the only one who keeps on going back to the past.

Summer Snow

I watched this drama because of Imai Tsubasa (Tackey & Tsubasa) who also starred in this drama, but the story is lovely. Its about a girl who suffered a heart problem and a guy with so much responsibiliies on his shoulder. Their life entangles and love story begins, of course with the disapproval from her father in the beginning.

Moto Kare

I didn't finish this drama because I couldn't find the source, so only watched it up to episode 6. It's about a guy who worked at a department store and is currently dating a girl in the same company (she is an elevator girl). His ex appeared and worked with him in the same department. I'm quite annoyed with the ex-girlfriend in the beginning though.

Kindaichi

Its Kindaichi, no explanation needed XD This is the fist installment of Kindaichi series, and to be honest I think Tsuyo portrayed Hajime's character better than the others - he has that funny facial expression at times that match Hajime Kindaichi. The second installment is played by MatsuJun of Arashi. Kamenashi Kazuya of KAT-TUN played the third installment and then recently it is played by Yamada Ryosuke of Hey Say JUMP.
