At long last!
Finally after over a decade of wanting and dreaming I have mastered a DVD. It has always been that I did not have the hardware power, software needs, or even the correct type of video camera. My closest attempt has been a VCD and SVCD I made about a year ago. But now I have the hardware, I have the video camera and I have the software, as lacking in options as it may be. I hope to somehow get my hands on some better software.
I loaned my Digi-cam to my best friend and he shot the birth of his baby and the 12 days following. I have captured it to my hard-drive and have now burned it to a disk and it works fine. I am so happy. I didn't do too much as I did not want t o take too many liberties with his video so most of it is raw footage. I did add an intro scene with some background music and a finale that I am sure he will love.
I now plan on digitizing an old video from high school in which my then best friend played the part of bat-man in an Honor Roll Society production. He is a big time lawyer now in VA. I can’t wait to drop it in the mail to him. His new wife should get a kick out of how goofy he was in high school (just like me).
