#BAE2018 Reveals, Messages, and Announcement!

Welcome to the official Baekyeol exchange! It has been a long and very patient ride for everyone but we have finally come to a close. The entries have been posted and we are very much excited to reveal the amazing authors. But, let us have a few words first.

Message: Hey guys! How is everyone? Did you all enjoy this BAE round? Now, it’s time for me to get real with you all. Surprise! Didn’t expect me to have written that fic? Of course not, I’m a new writer. I’m kishebum, and Fall For You is my first ever published fanfic.
First of all, I would like to thank the BAE Mods for putting up with me claiming a prompt super last minute, asking for new deadlines, and for being so kind and so encouraging to me. As
a writer, I’ve always had so much anxiety to actually finish and publish my works. I’ve been standing on the sidelines of BAE for a good year, reading and commenting on numerous works. But actually participating for BAE was probably a good and bad idea. Good because the deadline was kind of pushing me to actually develop and write the fanfic. Bad because I was so scared and anxious I wasn’t going to be able to deliver a good fic and I’d have to leave ficworld forever. The mods encouraged me and answered my countless and endless questions about the prompts and about the formatting. We, the authors, create, but the real stars here are the Mods for making BAE Fest possible.
Of course, they would never see this but I wanna thank Park Chanyeol and Byun Baekhyun for really inspiring all of us and making us imagine them, they are my pride and they are my world, and I love them so much, to be able to read so many fics centered on their pairing makes me so happy. Thank you EXO for making me so happy everyday.
I wanna thank my beta N as well, she’s one hell of a woman and I can’t thank her enough. When I had dark thoughts of completely dropping the plot and just saying “F*ck it” and disappearing off of AO3, I thought about how hard she was working to help me. And not only me, but so many other writers in the fest too, all of that while she worked and she really put away her freetime to help all of us. I was so happy because we became friends and I hope we can keep on working in the future. She made me so happy and pushed me to keep on going always, I made my 20k goal and she helped me through it all and I’m just so grateful. Thank you so much.
Now, I wanna thank the authors, you guys are so talented. To see my username next to all these huge authors that have inspired me and make me laugh and cry with their fics (even outside of bae) is such an honor, as well as reading more fics and meeting new authors who I really want to keep supporting from now on. You guys are seriously the best. You inspire readers like me who would like to write to actually do it, and I can’t thank you enough for that. I enjoyed many of the fics this round, tried to leave as many comments as I could, and if I didn’t leave them now, I’ll try to compliment you someday!
Lastly, thank you so much for the people who support BAE so much! You, the readers, are what make this fest possible. Like I said, I’m a new writer, Fall For You is my only work on AO3. Ever since FFY was published anonymously, I’ve been constantly checking the kudos and the comments. I don’t cry easily but seeing your amazing comments about my fic made me so happy I would cry. I thought my fic would go by unnoticed in this festival which such good works, but the people that stopped to read mines, and leave kudos/comments, it seriously inspired me to keep on working harder and publishing some more. When I read your comments saying that “TOP Baek was perfect” “The fic was so amazing” and stuff like that, I felt like I did my job just right, which I was so hesitant about, I thought my fic was awful. I always itched to just reply back to thank each on of you and now the time has come for me to do so. Thank you so much for being my inspiration and my drive to keep on writing for all of you.
It has been a joy to meet you all, to be able to write for each and every one of you and I hope you guys connect with me on twitter or something.
